Born in Jamaica, Dr. Kadian Pow moved with her family to Washington, DC as a child. She attended American public schools and universities, earning a bachelor degree in Anthropology and a masters degree in Languages and Cultures of Asia.
While living in Washington, DC, Kadian was fortunate enough to work in community partnerships and museum education for some of America's top museums, including The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History. There she specialised in connecting those museums with the communities in which they were embedded, and created lasting programmes. |
